What to do with
Hearing aids
Hearing aids are not collected at household waste and recycling centres but can often be taken back to the provider or donated to charity.
Collection points for hearing aids can often be found at:
- Doctors surgeries
- Hospital audiology departments
- Private hearing specialists
- Some charity shops i.e. Help the Aged and Age Concern
- Organisations such as The Lions Clubs who provide affordable hearing aids for hard-of-hearing individuals who have limited financial resources and Sound Seekers who help people with hearing loss in Africa. Batteries for hearing aids are also wanted.
