What to do with
Tools
For power tools such as drills, electric screwdrivers and planers - see theĀ electricals section; for non-electrical tools see below.
Tools that are in good working order can be donated to some charity shops, re-use organisations or local community projects.
They can also be donated to organisations such as Workaid who collect unwanted tools and equipment from across the country, refurbish and distribute them to people in need in the UK and overseas, to help them learn a skill and earn a living.
Tools often contain a lot of metal that can be recycled. Check with your local household waste recycling centre whether they accept tools that are no longer usable.
