Yes, bicycles can be recycled at some out of home recycling points.
How to recycle bicycles and bicycle parts
Donate it to charity - check locally for your nearest re-use organisation. Some not-for-profit organisations, such as The Bike Project collect unwanted bicycles or parts and then sell on refurbished bikes to low income citizens at reduced prices.
If your bike is beyond repair, you can recycle the metal parts. Many Recycling Centres have a mixed metals recycling facility.
