Recycle out of home

Yes, toys and games or their component parts, can be recycled at some out of home locations - find out more below.

How to recycle toys and games

  • Toys are not collected as part of household collections so should not be put in your home recycling.

  • Some Recycling Centres accept toys and games for recycling but it is best to check first.

  • Toys in good working order can be donated to charity shops or a local community group.

  • If your toys and games are beyond repair, it may still be possible to recycle some of the parts. This includes batteries and battery packs from remote controls which should be removed and recycled, not put in the recycling or waste bin.
